Horrible experience! I Was weak and sick but was neglected and treated like trash. I was ignored and yelled at and left to sleep in my urine all night. They held my belongings hostage when I left making me out to be a problem. I Chose to come there for help and this is how I was treated. I still do not have my experience be l belongings until this day. I dont appreciate the treatment and now they are saying I never gave them my expensive very important medicine that is used to treat my illness they have made me out to be a problem for no apparent reason and I believe it is a problem with my skin color. It also smells like poop in there and they are neglefull. Treat people how you want to be treated dont take advantage of sick and weak people for your enjoyment. Bad business practices.
My sister is there now. I was very impressed by the workers and their friendliness. The room was clean and when they served the meal my sister ate all the food (which she is a picky eater) my sister called her today and she was happy. BTW they give them a choice of snack at night. I thought the place smelled good.
Rehab was very good to me. And for me☺️ Meals were very good. And the Cowboy past football player was very good to us and made us laugh 😆 There were some amazing staff there Sunny made us feel good and he made us laugh also. I thank everyone that helped me.
If I could give this place negative stars I would. They dumped my mom in the er at Prisma then they discharged her back to facility within 6 hours to find out that they gave my moms bed up so they made my mom wait in hall then in the middle of that night dumped my mom onto Spartanburg regional without notifying me. I had to get call at 6 am at work form Spartanburg regional ER that my mom was transported and in hall way all night. She was going through cancer and she was dumped twice in one day. My mom passed last year, but I will never recommend this place ever.
I swear if there was a negative 5 star that’s what I would rate this place. Do not go by Medicare reviews!!!! This place is a literal dump. The rooms look like prison cells. My mother was here for care after a major major surgery. The nurses will lie about doing care that was not in fact done. My dad is currently there as well. The in house Dr has refused to give my dad a crucial medication for his neuropathy. My dad can not walk with out assistance now. They are discharging him Wednesday knowing his bed sore is not healed enough as well as the pressure wound on his heel. Please do not send your loved one here!!! The social worker there is awful. An ombudsman has been called in to investigate and has said this place has had many complaints! Please beware!!!
Don’t consider this place for your loved one.. The smell alone should tell you something. Our loved one is there and we can’t get her out fast enough. Its rare for the CNA to respond to the call light in a timely manner.. We understand they are short staffed, but if someone is having a real emergency it could be disastrous..
The smell is terrible. Needs air circulation in building and a renovation. Staff is wonderful , didn’t have any problems. Easy to talk with.
Highly recommend great staff and they really care
Ight place
The building is old, but kept clean daily. The CNA’s are slack, but the nurses, doctors and staff are friendly and caring. The food is good, not the over-processed normal institutional fare. The rehab section is superb. Amanda goes above and beyond. As does all of the therapy staff. Very glad we chose this facility.
The facility is old but the people inside do care and make you feel welcome except for Gwin! This woman needs to retire getting her to do her job is almost impossible just laziness and rude to loved ones! Physical therapy is amazing here and my mom said the food is better than most rehabs.
I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident The rooms are small and dirty. Bed against the wall. Elevated toilet doesn’t fit in bathroom. Cow bell hanging to get assistance in bathroom, because alarm broken. The nursing staff and assistants are the only reason I allowed my relative to remain in facility. The manager knows nothing about healthcare. Only trying to get rich off of sick people
A real gem in the mountains. Beautiful Setting, home style feel with access to quick clinical care as needed….. this facility has leaders who lead from the front with a combination of east coast swag and a country work ethic… #settingtables
I went to visit this place and the staff was country and friendly. I loved the people there so down to earth. Old school love there!!
OMG! This place is so disorganized. It was clear as glass that they did not how to document information in the patients file so that other staff will know what is going on. Nobody new anything! Very frustrating!!!
Business response 3 years ago
My mother came here for therapy and from the get go there was issues. Idk if it was poor on the hospital or what but she ended up missing dialysis 3 days due to scheduling issues. She called me often saying that she had been waiting with the call light on for over 20 minutes and never heard anything for a while. Was asked regularly if she wanted a shower the next day and rarely got her shower when the day came. Her phone went missing a week or so before Christmas and to this day she still doesn’t have it. A few days later she was kicked out “due to no progress in therapy”, she says this was never communicated with her and she contacted her insurance who says she should still be there according to their books. Avoid this place at all costs!
River fall it was clean and the working was very nice
I just want to say thank you to all of the staff that cared for my granddad. They were extremely compassionate and went above and beyond their personal duty to make him feel comfortable. Some even used their personal cash to bring a smile to his face. Wonderful facility and I highly recommend. This place is great!!!!
Staff was nice .but over worked.i would cut on my light and sometimes it would take 6 to 10 minutes.. this goes back to managing the bizzy hrs .all in all old place but they did their best with what help they had.o ya the food is great..who ever cooks knows how to cook southern food I rate the food a5
The nurses and CNA’s were good despite ALWAYS being understaffed. Alot of times meds are late due to this fact. One nurse to 44 beds is ridiculous. There are some really great CNA’s who go out of their way to help you and there are others who are nasty and have no business working in medical care. The food is tolerable at best. Physical and Occupational therapy are great. Overall there is a lot of room for improvement.
I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident River Falls Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center was older. The look of the place was not up to date, but the staff made my mom very comfortable. Everything she needed was there, and the rehab was good for her. The food was also good. She enjoyed it, as well as the activities. The room was a little smaller than she’s in now; but she was just there for rehab, so it’s fine. They had a calendar on the wall that let the residents know what activities were available. They came around each day with an activity cart that they could pick something from, like a book or other things. Each month they had a birthday party, while they did bingo each day. They had snacks for the residents, too. They offer a beauty salon, and then there was a patio outside.
